Maharishi Markandeshwar University PhD Admissions 2025 Open; Apply Before February 12
Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana–Ambala, has opened applications for its PhD programs for the 2025 academic session. Eligible candidates can apply across various research disciplines, with an application fee of INR 1,000. The university is also offering a fellowship of INR 22,000 per month along with a contingency grant of INR 10,000 to selected research scholars. The last date to submit the application is February 12, 2025, while the entrance examination is scheduled for February 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM. For the PhD program, the annual fee structure includes a one-time registration fee of INR 18,000 for Medical, Physiotherapy, Dental, and Nursing streams and INR 12,000 for other disciplines, while the tuition fee is INR 90,000 and INR 75,000 respectively. A late fee of INR 2,500 is applicable for all categories, and tuition fees are required to be paid annually in advance without any separate reminders.
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have completed a one-year or two-semester master’s degree after a four-year bachelor’s program, or a two-year master’s degree after a three-year bachelor’s program, securing at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
Those who hold an M.Phil. degree with 55% marks or equivalent, including qualifications earned from recognized foreign institutions, are also eligible. A relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks is permitted for SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), EWS, and differently-abled candidates. All applicants—whether appearing for or exempted from the entrance exam—must attend an interview as part of the selection process.
Candidates are required to submit various documents along with their application, including matriculation and senior secondary certificates, detailed mark sheets of graduation, post-graduation, and M.Phil. (if applicable), valid NET/SLET/UGC-CSIR/GATE certificates where required, character certificate, caste or EWS certificate (if applicable), experience certificate, NOC from employer for working professionals, passport or student visa for foreign or NRI candidates, two attested passport-sized photographs, migration certificate, anti-ragging undertaking, and any other relevant documents.
