Ambala Cantt College Clinches First Spot in Dist-Level Science Quiz

GMN College, Ambala Cantt, Secures First Place in District-Level Science Quiz

GMN College, Ambala Cantonment, recently organised a district-level science quiz under the sponsorship of the Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology, Department of Science and Technology, Haryana.

A total of twelve teams from seven educational institutions participated in the preliminary round. The participating institutes included DAV College, Ambala City; Kalpana Chawla Polytechnic College, Ambala City; SD College, Ambala Cantonment; Government PG College, Ambala Cantonment; SA Jain College, Ambala City; GMN College, Ambala Cantonment; and Government PG College, Shahzadpur.

Following the screening round, eight teams advanced to the main competition. GMN College clinched the top position, while Government PG College secured second place and DAV College achieved third. Another team from DAV College finished fourth, and the Kalpana Chawla Polytechnic College team placed fifth. These five winning teams will now move on to compete at the zonal-level science quiz.

Speaking on the occasion, GMN College Principal Rohit Dutt said, "Science is more than laboratories and inventions; it is a mindset of inquiry and exploration. Competitions like these spark curiosity and prepare young learners to tackle real-world challenges with innovation and creativity." He praised the efforts of the organising committee, congratulated all participants, and encouraged students to continue developing their scientific skills for the betterment of society.
